In what is one of the best and experimental (for Katy Perry) songs from her earned Grammy-nominated Album of the Year Teenage Dream, the next single “E.T.” is making sure its a hit by adding Kanye West on the track.

While the track really brings nothing original by adding West on the rap section, there are some shining moments and elements that should make this song a huge hit…per usual with Katy.

In one of the shining moments of the track, Ye opens the track by adding some growls into his flow. He sounds great and I don’t think we’ve ever heard that from him before. That lasts for only for 8 bars which feels just fine since he started talking about himself, per usual, so hearing Katy cut him off is a nice sigh of relief.

The track, which leaked out last summer before the rest of the album, has urban and pop appeal meaning it could be a multiple format hit for Perry similar to how “California Gurls” with Snoop Dogg was. Especially with how they’ve just added Kanye on to the track, meaning its downloads will surge up when its released to iTunes, in addition to having the downloads of the album version, it looks that Katy is trying hard to get that 4th #1 from this album. Can she do it with “E.T.”? Take a listen below:

Checked up on this to see if you had written anything, but doesn’t this song remind anybody of “All the Things You Said” by T.A.T.U?? I’m surprised it hasn’t received any criticism seeing as everyone made a huge deal out of Lady Gaga’s “Born this Way” sounding like Madonna’s sound. Katy Perry’s song sounds like a rip off of T.A.T.U’s if you ask me. SO similar…
