DIANE WARREN WINS BEST ORIGINAL SONG WITH CHER’S “YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE LAST OF ME” AT GOLDEN GLOBES

Well we were all wondering who’d end up taking home the golden statue and in the end it was Diane Warren who won Best Original Song for her ballad “You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me” by Cher from the film Burlesque. The ballad marked Warren’s first win at The Golden Globes despite this being her fifth nomination–looks like the seasoned songwriter/seasoned singer combination was the right one!

Diane’s ballad beats out the film’s other ballad, that being Christina Aguilera‘s “Bound To You” written by her and Sia, but marks a win for the film that just recently recouped its budget with territories still yet to have the film released. It should be interesting to see if this win is an early indication for The Academy Awards–do you think Diane and Cher can do it again or will The Oscars take a completely different turn?

Regardless, the win should most definitely be celebrated and will also definitely give a great spike in downloads and now Burlesque is a Golden Globe winner! You can also check out Diane’s acceptance speech below where you get to see a smiling Steve Antin (film’s director) & Christina Aguilera.
