NEW ARTIST PREVIEW: JESSIE AND THE TOY BOYS

What’s the next move when you’ve written for one of Europe’s biggest production teams, opened for one of the UK’s hottest girl groups, and sang back-up vocals on the Pet Shop Boys latest record? Truly go for it on your own! And that’s exactly what Jessie Malakouti is doing with her new music venture Jessie and The Toy Boys, who just gave an extended preview of their debut single “Push It.”

The 80’s-tinged bumping track is an explosive ride proving to be a delicious treat for pop ears. Repeating itself in all the right places, the addictive tracks shows several vocal stylings from seductive singing to auto-tuned crooning to playful rap-singing in the tradeoff between perfect featured artist Yelawolf.

While the preview ends too abruptly at the 2:00 minute mark, you can still fill your ears with Jessie with streaming tracks and previews at Jessie and The Toy Boys Website including the Ke$ha meets Gwen Stefani “Like You Better,” robot bopping “Radio’s Talking To Me” and even Jessie slowing it down in the interesting lyrics of  “Eyes Closed.” While the tracks are an exciting preview of what’s to come, I’m holding out for what should be a smashing final version of “Push It” and more top-notch tracks from Jessie And The Boy Toys.

Check out the preview of the upcoming single, and let me know what you’re thinking of this artist. I’d be interested to know what her plan of promotion will be; stick to The UK where she’s had some promotion already, all of Europe, or start in the competitive American market that Yelawolf has already had mild success (he’s been featured in tracks by Juelz Santana, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, as well as the critically acclaimed Big Boi album)?
